Summary : Job Summary : This B2B Platform Administrator position is recognized within the Caterpillar IT community as an expert in the B2B Infrastructure domain. The platform admin will support and lead the team to create, maintain and follow best practices, IT controls and standards. Key areas of accountability include liaisoning with different support teams and making sure the SLA's for ticket resolution are met thereby keeping the B2B platform and infrastructure up and running for 24x7 without any issues, providing product expertise and also assist as an SME in maintaining technology roadmaps.Responsibilities :- Support the IBM Sterling B2B environment (SI-EDI and SI-MFT) from the platform and infrastructure point of view.- Responsible for ensuring the B2B application and its functions are available 24x7 to Internal systems and External partners.- Plan, coordinate, and execute regular Application maintenance activities like patching, upgrade, migration, housekeeping, monitoring, vulnerability fixes, etc.- Ensure the B2B landscape's processes and configurations are in line with the Enterprise policies and guidelines.- Manage and guide the vendor Platform support team and stay up to date on day-to-day activities.- Communicate and promote adoption of best practices and standards within B2B support teams.- Act as a Liaison to other Caterpillar teams to drive resolution of support issues.- Participate in the identification and analysis of enterprise business drivers and requirements that drive the future state architecture.- Contribute to the B2B Modernization program from the infrastructure and architecture perspective.- Collaborate with partners on best practice B2B implementations that are mutually beneficial.Required Skillsets :- Should have 8+ years of experience with B2B Applications and minimum 5+ years of Platform Administration experience in IBM Sterling Integrator (SI) products.- Should have working knowledge in IBM Sterling Secure Proxy, Sterling Control Center, Perimeter servers, SEAS, Sterling Connect:Direct, Sterling File Gateway applications.- Compulsory Hands-on experience in performing SI Platform Administration activities like installation, patching, upgrades, housekeeping, monitoring, remediating security vulnerabilities, etc.- Experience in creating and bug fixing SI Business Processes (BPML).- Proficient with setup and troubleshooting of communication protocols (i.e.SFTP, AS2, HTTPS) B2B EDI terminology & standards (X12, EDI, XML, JSON).- Good understanding of systems architecture, security for external and internal communication and Enterprise Infrastructure systems like Database, Storage, Network, Load Balancers, Firewall, reverse proxy, etc.- Working knowledge on various scripting tools like shell, python, etc.- Moderately proficient experience with Java, XPath, XSLT, SOAP, REST, SQL.- Knowledge on monitoring tools like Nagios, AppDynamics is a plus.- Understanding of agile principles and IT project management a nice to have.- Previous Caterpillar experience is a HUGE plus.- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.- Strong verbal and written communication skills, presentation, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
