Description:

We are urgently looking for Lead Data Engineer. Location : Bangalore ( Remote). Job Description : - Experience with GCP technologies (BigQuery, DataFlow, PubSub) and DBT. - Strong experience in Java is required.- Candidates without Java experience will not be considered.- Apart from Java, it is preferable but not necessary to have Python and NodeJS experience. - Should have led a medium-sized team for at least a few years. - Candidates must be able to understand the trade-off between performance, simplicity, maintainability, and timeline constraints when developing software solutions.- Should have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in data engineering.Key Responsibilities : - GCP Technologies : Utilize GCP technologies such as BigQuery, DataFlow, PubSub, and DBT to develop data solutions and pipelines. - Java Proficiency : Demonstrate strong experience in Java programming, as it is a crucial requirement for this role. - Team Leadership : Lead a medium-sized team, providing guidance, mentoring, and technical expertise to ensure project success. - Trade-off Understanding : Understand the trade-off between performance, simplicity, maintainability, and timeline constraints when developing software solutions, and make informed decisions accordingly. Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - Advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus. 5-10 years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on GCP technologies. - Proficiency in Java is mandatory for this role. - Candidates without Java experience will not be considered. - Experience leading medium-sized teams for at least a few years, demonstrating strong leadership and communication skills. - Strong understanding of data engineering concepts, including data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing. - Ability to analyze and understand complex data requirements and develop scalable solutions to meet business needs. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions within tight deadlines. - Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and work effectively in a team environment.
