About the Role:We are looking for a talented and experienced Cloud Native Engineer to join our team and play a key role in building, deploying, and managing applications within our cloud infrastructure. You will leverage your expertise in Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, Kubernetes, and DevOps methodologies to automate deployments, ensure application scalability, and optimize our cloud environment.Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native applications on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform.- Manage and maintain Kubernetes clusters for container orchestration and efficient resource utilization.- Utilize Red Hat Linux administration skills to manage the underlying infrastructure supporting OpenShift.- Administer container image repositories (e.g., Docker Hub) to store and manage containerized applications.- Deploy OpenShift clusters in both public and private cloud environments based on our specific needs.- Implement CI/CD pipelines using industry best practices and open-source tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git) to automate application deployment and updates.- Automate the creation and configuration of PaaS infrastructure using tools like Ansible.- Possess knowledge of at least one virtualization platform (VMware, KVM, VirtualBox).- Monitor and maintain OpenShift clusters, perform troubleshooting, and apply critical security patches.- Manage OpenShift management components and tenant configurations.Desired Skills and Experience:- 3-5 years of experience in cloud and/or virtual technologies.- Proven experience building, deploying, and managing applications on Platform as a Service (PaaS) solutions.- In-depth expertise with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform and Kubernetes container orchestration.- Strong understanding of Red Hat Linux administration and system management.- Experience managing container image repositories for Linux containers.- Familiarity with deploying OpenShift in both public and private cloud environments.- Ability to automate application lifecycles using CI/CD pipelines and best practices.- Proficiency in infrastructure automation tools like Ansible or similar.- Working knowledge of a virtualization platform (VMware, KVM, VirtualBox) is a plus.- Expertise in applying security patches and troubleshooting issues within OpenShift/Kubernetes clusters.- Experience managing OpenShift management components and tenant configurations.Additional Skills (Preferred):- Knowledge of other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) is a plus.- Experience with container networking and security concepts.- Experience with GitOps methodologies for infrastructure and application management.- Strong scripting skills (e.g. Bash, Python) for automation tasks.- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
