About the Role :We are seeking a skilled and experienced Jira Administrator to join our team and play a key role in optimizing our Jira usage to support efficient project management and team collaboration. You will leverage your in-depth knowledge of Jira functionalities, workflows, and best practices to configure, customize, and manage our Jira instance to meet the evolving needs of our organization.Responsibilities :- Design, implement, and manage complex Jira workflows to automate processes and optimize project lifecycles.- Configure and customize Jira boards, fields, screens, and user permissions to enhance user experience and project visibility.- Create and manage custom Jira reports and dashboards to track progress, identify bottlenecks, and support data-driven decision making.- Manage user groups, permissions, and access controls to ensure data security and compliance with internal policies.- Implement and maintain best practices for Jira administration, including user onboarding, backup and recovery procedures, and performance optimization.- Stay up-to-date with the latest Jira features, plugins, and integrations to identify opportunities for further improvement.- Collaborate with project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and tailor Jira configurations accordingly.- Provide ongoing support and training to users on Jira functionalities and best practices.Candidate Qualifications :- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).- Minimum of 4-7 years of experience in Jira administration and configuration.- Proven experience in designing and implementing complex Jira workflows with automation capabilities.- In-depth knowledge of Jira Service Desk functionalities and experience managing service requests is a plus.- Strong understanding of Jira integrations with other Atlassian tools (e.g., Confluence) and external applications is preferred.- Experience with Jira administration tools like ScriptRunner or Jira Align (if applicable) is a plus.Required Skills :- Advanced Jira administration expertise- Experience with workflow design and automation- Proficiency in Jira reporting and dashboard creation- Understanding of user management and access control- Excellent communication and collaboration skillsAdditional Skills (Preferred) :- Experience with Agile methodologies and project management principles- Familiarity with Jira scripting languages (e.g., Groovy)- Experience with cloud-based Jira deployments- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills- Ability to work independently and as part of a team (ref:hirist.tech)
