Role and Responsibilities:We are seeking a highly experienced and innovative Lead Machine Learning Engineer to join our team and spearhead the development and execution of complex machine learning projects in the areas of data science, document processing, and natural language processing (NLP). You will leverage your in-depth expertise in NLP, machine learning frameworks, and leadership skills to guide a team of engineers, develop cutting-edge solutions, and deliver impactful results.Responsibilities:- Lead and manage a team of Machine Learning Engineers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.- Define the technical direction for NLP and document processing projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.- Design, develop, and implement high-performance machine learning models for various NLP tasks, including entity recognition and text classification.- Champion the use of advanced NLP techniques like transformer models (e.g., GPT) to push the boundaries of NLP capabilities (Preferred).- Act as a technical expert, providing guidance and mentorship to junior engineers on data preprocessing, cleaning, and Python development using libraries like NumPy and pandas.- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and other stakeholders to define project goals, gather data, evaluate model performance, and iterate on solutions.- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in NLP, machine learning, and document processing technologies, and share knowledge with the team.- Advocate for and implement best practices in machine learning development, including model versioning, documentation, and continuous improvement processes.- Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.Candidate Qualifications:- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.- 10-12 years of experience in data science, NLP, and document processing.- Proven track record of leading and delivering successful machine learning projects.- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, mentor, and guide a team of engineers.Required Skills:- Extensive experience in executing complex machine learning-based projects.- Demonstrated ability to lead the development of innovative NLP and document processing solutions.- Deep understanding of NLP concepts and techniques, including entity recognition, custom embeddings, and transformer models.- Expertise in Python programming with proficiency in NumPy and pandas libraries.- Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, MxNet, Jupyter, Caffe, and Keras.Additional Skills (Preferred):- Experience with document scanning and processing solutions.- Experience with cloud-based machine learning platforms (e.g., AWS SageMaker, Azure Machine Learning).- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
