Role Overview : Head Of EngineeringThe ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and inspiring his or her team to achieve their performance metrics. The Engineering Head is responsible for the leadership of one or more engineering scrum teams to plan, deliver and support service features that deliver customer value and/or mature service capability.The Engineering Head will drive the integration of business channels, by building clear domain-driven designed APIs that integrate into core banking ledgerThe Engineering Manager will build services based on platform mindset with reusability of APIs.The Engineering head will report to CEO Directly and should possess high sense of ownership to get things done.Essential capabilities :- People leadership of technical teams providing technical expertise and team management for more than 3 years- Must have done at least one or two projects in fintech/wealth management/securities domain; hands-on experience with setting up IT Infrastructure, mobile app and Manual process Automation- Excellent documentation and communication skills with the ability to deal with stakeholders (engineers, users and product owners)- Setting standards/approaches for Engineering teams to follow, together with a 'hands-on' approach when required.- Triage new demand and ensure enough technology guidance exists at a high level to initiate work and lead design activities.- Ensure that technical designs meet functional, resilience, throughput, security, reuse and simplicity needs.- Strong focus on CI/CD Strong commitment to quality and audibility- Mentoring peers and other colleaguesExperience and Qualifications :- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or related field of study- 9+ years of Technology Experience - at least 3 years in securities domain and hands-on experience in setting up IT Infrastructure.- 3+ years of technical leadership- 4+ years as Full Stack Developer (Node.js /Angular), hands-on experience with Flutter ideally in Finance or any wealth management domain.- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.- Perform regression testing when bugs are resolved.- Work closely with internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify system requirements.- Contribute to feature sanity/regressions/Acceptance level tests.- Identify the latest testing tools and methodologies in the market; and provide solutions in building the right test suites to ensure that the quality of the product is validated.- Should have working Experience in API Testing.- At least 3 years in broking for digital APP. Around 5 years Team Mgmt experience. (ref:hirist.tech)
