In this critical role, you will oversee the entire software testing lifecycle, ensuring the delivery of high-quality applications that meet government standards. You will leverage your expertise in test automation, collaboration, and Agile methodologies to guide your team and ensure successful project outcomes.The Ideal Candidate :- Minimum 10 years of experience in Quality Assurance management, with a proven track record of leading successful testing teams.- In-depth knowledge of software testing methodologies including application development testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and system integration testing (SIT).- Expert in test plan creation, test case design, and test script development for various testing scenarios.- Proficiency in Microsoft Test Manager Suite (or similar tool) for managing test cases, tracking defects, and reporting results.- Strong skills in developing training materials and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for testing processes.- Demonstrated ability to facilitate collaboration across all levels of an organization (executive, business, technical).- Extensive experience in planning and executing testing efforts including test plan development, scenario building, and user recruitment for effective testing.- Prior experience working on software projects for state government agencies is highly desirable.- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and their application within the testing lifecycle.- Experience with Microsoft Visio and Project for project planning and documentation.- Familiarity with Team Foundation Server (DevOps version) for version control and collaboration. (Bonus points for experience with other DevOps tools)- Technical skills in tools like SOAP UI for web service testing, Load UI for performance testing, SQL Server for database interaction, LDAP for directory services, and Microsoft SQL Reporting Services for test reporting.- (While not all skills are mandatory, a strong foundation in these areas is a plus)Responsibilities :- Lead and manage a team of QA testers in delivering high-quality testing services for state government projects.- Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans aligned with project requirements and Agile methodologies.- Design and create clear, concise, and well-documented test cases and scripts for user acceptance testing.- Manage and utilize test automation tools (e.g., Microsoft Test Manager Suite) to streamline testing processes.- Develop and deliver training materials and SOPs for test methodologies and tools.- Foster a collaborative testing environment and facilitate communication across all stakeholders (executive, business, technical).- Organize and manage user participation in testing activities (SIT and UAT) for effective test execution.- Track, report, and analyze test results to identify and resolve defects effectively.- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in software testing technologies and best practices.
