We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our growing team. In this critical role, you will play a leadership role in designing, building, and maintaining highly scalable, reliable, and performant infrastructure to support our business applications and services. You will bridge the gap between development and operations, fostering a culture of automation and continuous improvement.Responsibilities :- Lead and participate in the design, development, and implementation of automated solutions to manage and optimize our infrastructure.- Utilize infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g. Terraform, Ansible) to provision and manage infrastructure in a consistent and repeatable manner.- Implement and manage container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes to ensure efficient resource utilization and application scalability.- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate SRE practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) for faster deployments and improved reliability.- Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure issues, proactively identify potential problems, and implement preventative measures.- Develop and implement monitoring tools and dashboards to gain insights into system health and performance.- Develop and maintain incident response procedures for handling outages and service disruptions.- Participate in capacity planning and resource optimization activities.- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in cloud computing, containerization, and distributed systems.- Mentor and guide junior SREs, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment within the team.- Advocate for SRE best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the SRE function within the organization.Qualifications :Educational Qualifications : Bachelor's/Master's- 8-12 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or a related field.- In-depth knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their associated services.- Proven experience in designing, building, and maintaining highly scalable and reliable infrastructure.- Expertise in infrastructure automation tools (IaC) and configuration management tools.- Experience with container orchestration platforms (e.g. Kubernetes).- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).- Strong understanding of Linux systems administration and scripting languages (e.g Python, Bash).- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.Desired Skills :- Experience with service mesh technologies (e.g. Istio, Linkerd) - Experience with chaos engineering principles- Experience with performance optimization techniques- Experience in cloud security best practices- Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect) (ref:hirist.tech)
