We are eager to grow and expand with skilled professionals like you who use their talent to build solutions, enable effective learning, and improve students' lives.The future of education is here, and we are eager to work alongside those who want to make a positive impact and inspire change in the world around them.- Supports in scope KNA databases to maintain and improve their stability and reliability.- Responds and resolves Alerts/Problems and Incidents.- Execute periodical and on-demand maintenance tasks.- Deploys database changes within established standards, processes, and policies.- As a level 3 DBA, you are expected to be able to work independently and provide guidance to more junior level members of the team. - As a level 3 DBA will be able to recognize larger problems proactively and work with other team members and other teams on solving the problem.- As a level 3 DBA you are expected to mentor other DBAs in your primary skills and be cross trained in other databases technologies used in KNA.Job Responsibilities :- Provides Operational support in the management of databases based on.- MSSQL from version 2014 thru 2019 on.- Hands on knowledge on managing MS-SQL server on Physical or VMWare, EC2, Azure VM.- WSFC clusters and Always ON clusters on On-prem/VMware/EC2/Azure VM instances.- Azure SQL.- SQL Server Replication/Clustering.- MSSQL SSIS and SSRS setup.- Secondary skill on any of the following Oracle/MySQL/PostgreSQL/MongoDB/Document DB.- Troubleshooting and resolution to Incidents and Alerts, including escalation to providers as needed.- The position requires availability for on-call rotation and to work outside regular business hours and on weekends.- Following and enforcing policies and procedures, Supports the deployment of code and execution of complex tasks on KNA databases, including but not limited to Application deployments, O/S and Databases engines patches and upgrades, Data refreshes in non-production environments, Security changes.- Provides Operational KPIs to management and Database engineering team.- Maintain/upgrade DBA tools, and settings (directly or by request) of enterprise monitoring tools.- Uses/maintain documentation/runbooks related to periodical tasks, like upgrades, environment refresh tool, security changes.- Engages and cooperates with the Database engineer team to improve processes and procedures.- Where applicable, cooperates with Vendors to optimize their work in KNA.Minimum Qualifications :- BS or Master in IT or equivalent experience.- 7 Years to date of operational support on MSSQL in multiple versions and platforms (see list of primary responsibilities).- MSSQL (see details in primary responsibilities).- Replication, Clustering.- Managing MSSQL DB on On-prem/VMware/EC2/Azure VM instances.Operational skills required for the position :- Senior level working knowledge for Set up, optimization, troubleshooting and support of the DB platforms.- Migration knowledge (On-prem to VM or Onprem to Cloud).- Experience of Large high-availability production environment.- Experience with AWS console management and configuration related to the related platform.- Experience with Azure console management and configuration related to the related platform.Preferred Qualifications :- AWS Platform beyond specific requirements.- Experience with Bash, PowerShell, Python or comparable scripting languages.- Familiar with Agile methodologies, and use of tools like Google workspace, Jira, GitHub, ServiceNow.- Familiar with SolarWinds (monitoring and DPA) and Redgate software.
