Job description :- The developer will be required to work closely with our portfolio implementation and operations controller team to build quality control checks to monitor our investment platform for correctness and identify conditions that need review and attention.- The person in this role will be expected to build the tools, and learn the domain to collaborate and jointly seek out ways to remove false positives (aka noise).- It will be important to keep a mindset of "a poorly designed or oversensitive warning could be worse than having no warning at all".- The candidate will also spend time enhancing and supporting our integration tools which couple our internal platform.- Engineers work closely with the vendor to extend functionality and ensure data transformations are robust and timely.- The developer will also share Level l1/2 development support duties with the team in NY, taking advantage of time zone differences.- Our platform consists of python code running in a modern scalable platform, with a SQL server back end.- Communication with our vendor tools is via API and file interchange.- Ideally the candidate will have experience in both python and SQL, but significant experience in any modern object-oriented language coupled with SQL could suffice.
