About Role : As an Engineering Manager/ Sr. EM, you will own a delivery and technology vision for developing services and components which will act as building blocks for product development within Park+.You will work closely with the product management team, engineering teams, and customers. Developing the right technology vision, practices, and team culture to ensure good quality, timelydelivery, and foster innovation are going to be a key focus area.Responsibilities : 1. Technical Guidance : You will provide technical leadership to a team of excellent software engineers; this requires that you have the technical depth to make complex design decisions and the hands-on ability to lead by example.2. Execution and Delivery : You will be expected to instill and follow good software development practices and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products. You should be familiar with agile practices as well as be able to adapt these to the needs of the business, with a constant focus on product quality.3. People management : You will be responsible for hiring and mentoring your team; helping individuals grow in their careers, having a constant dialogue about their aspirations and sharing prompt, clear, and actionable feedback about performance4. Project Management : Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.5. Technical Expertise : Maintain a deep understanding of our technology stack and product architecture, and provide technical guidance and expertise to the team to solve complex technical challenges.6. Cross-Functional Collaboration : Collaborate closely with product management, design, QA, and other stakeholders to align engineering efforts with product requirements and business goals.7. Resource Allocation : Allocate resources effectively to balance project priorities and meet delivery timelines, while optimizing team productivity and efficiency.8. Process Improvement : Continuously improve engineering processes and methodologies to enhance team performance, streamline workflows, and drive operational excellence.Desired Skills And Requirements : 1. Technical depth : You have the strong technical competence required to gain credibility. Ability to architect, design and code yourself. Technical experience in building and operating web-based applications in Python OR Golang.2. Execution ability : Focus on delivering products in a timely manner with high quality. Familiarity with multiple software development practices and tools, and the proven ability to adapt, champion and institute good practices and tools.3. Experience working in startups, preferably in early-stage startups.4. Strong problem-solving skills, data structures and algorithms. Strong hands-on technology experience building and running large-scale systems.5. Be a very hands-on manager by involving in coding, code reviews, design and architecture reviews.6. 7+ years of previous software industry experience. 2+ years of dedicated Engineering management experience.7. Strong interpersonal skills to drive the roadmap execution across different geographies, product and functional teams.8. Experience crafting products powered by data and insights, instrumentation, experimentation, and metrics-driven success criteria.9. Deep understanding of building cloud native apps on either AWS/Azure or GCP (ref:hirist.tech)
