In this critical role, you will : Champion Agile Practices : Champion the effectiveness of the Scrum process and ensure adherence to best practices within your engineering team.Deliver High-Quality Products : Own the quality of the team's output and the customer experience for our products, ensuring exceptional user satisfaction.Lead Full-Lifecycle Development : Guide product development teams through all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).Hands-on Technical Expertise : Actively participate in technical activities like architecture & design reviews, code reviews, coding, troubleshooting, and defect triage (up to 40%).Promote Engineering Excellence : Define and enforce coding standards and best practices within the engineering team.Bridge the Gap : Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into detailed technical specifications.Maintain Code Quality : Conduct code reviews and ensure high code quality and adherence to engineering standards.Automate for Efficiency : Drive automation initiatives within the engineering team to improve development efficiency and code quality.Continuous Improvement : Champion continuous improvement in development processes and tools to enhance overall team output.Develop Your Team : Mentor and coach engineers, fostering their technical growth and career development.Proactive Risk Management : Identify potential technical risks and challenges early in the project lifecycle and propose mitigation strategies.Effective Communication & Collaboration : Act as a technical liaison between engineering, product management, and other stakeholders.Quality Assurance : Coordinate closely with Platform Test teams to ensure thorough testing and validation of software products.Smooth Launches : Oversee deployment and release processes to ensure smooth and reliable product launches.Maintain System Stability : Monitor system performance, address technical issues promptly to maintain product stability.Incident Management : Provide technical leadership during incidents and outages, facilitating root cause analysis and resolution.Foster Innovation : Cultivate a collaborative and innovative engineering culture focused on delivering high-quality software products.We're looking for a candidate with : - 10+ years of experience in product development, including up to 3 years in a management role.- Strong Java full-stack engineering experience working in a product development environment.- Expertise in architecture & design reviews, system design, code reviews, customer issue troubleshooting, defect triage, and other technical disciplines.- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to resolve complex technical challenges.- "Can-do" attitude with a knack for adapting and prioritizing effectively in a fast-paced environment.- A strong willingness to learn and a growth mindset.- Excellent communication and servant leadership skills, effectively motivating and leading your team.- In-depth knowledge and experience with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Agile, and Kanban).- Experience working in a product-driven SaaS or financial services company is a plus.- Experience in software architecture is an additional advantage (ref:hirist.tech)
