Description:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Java DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a Java DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining automated processes for building, deploying, and managing Java-based applications. You will work closely with development teams to streamline software delivery pipelines, improve system reliability, and enhance the overall development process.Responsibilities :Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Java-based applications using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.Automate software builds, tests, and deployments to various environments (development, testing, staging, production) using infrastructure as code (IaC) principles.Configure and manage containerized environments using Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability in production environments.Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to proactively identify and resolve system issues.Manage and provision infrastructure resources using cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.Implement security best practices for infrastructure, applications, and data, including vulnerability scanning, access control, and encryption.Continuously evaluate and improve DevOps processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and productivity.Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to development teams and stakeholders.Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in DevOps and cloud computing.Requirements :Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, with expertise in Java-based development environments.Strong proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, Python, or Groovy for automation and tooling.Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI for building, testing, and deploying applications.Knowledge of version control systems like Git and code branching strategies (e.g., GitFlow, trunk-based development).Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.Understanding of cloud computing concepts and experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.Proficiency in Linux system administration and shell scripting.Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with microservices architecture and container-based deployments.Knowledge of configuration management tools like Puppet, Chef, or SaltStack.Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.Experience with agile methodologies and DevOps practices like infrastructure as code (IaC), continuous integration (CI), and continuous delivery (CD).Understanding of software development best practices and principles (e.g., SOLID, DRY, YAGNI).Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
