Requirements : - BTech, MSc, or PhD from a top school in Maths, Physics, Computer Science, etc.- Strong skills in Linux administration.- Especially in the areas of kernel tuning, security, and user administration.- Strong skills in scripting languages like Bash or Python.- Well-versed with monitoring softwares like Zabbix etc.- Strong experience in Linux administration and software support.- Well-versed with BIOS settings for performance.- Well-versed with performance tuning of the hardware.- Very strong communication skills.About the Role :We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated High-Performance Computing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our Linux-based HPC infrastructure, ensuring its stability, security, and peak performance. Responsibilities :- Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers for high-performance computing applications. Perform kernel tuning optimizations to maximize system performance.- Implement and enforce robust security measures on Linux systems. - Manage user accounts and groups for secure access to HPC resources. - Develop and maintain scripts (Bash or Python) for automating administrative tasks.- Utilize monitoring software (Zabbix etc.) to identify and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks.- Provide technical support to researchers and users of the HPC environment. - Optimize hardware performance through advanced BIOS configuration. - Collaborate with the IT team to ensure seamless integration of the HPC infrastructure. Maintain clear and concise documentation of HPC systems and procedures. - Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Qualifications :- Ph.D., M.Sc., or B.Tech. in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field from a top university.- Strong understanding of Linux administration principles and practices.- Expertise in kernel tuning, Linux security, and user administration. - Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash or Python.- Experience with monitoring software like Zabbix or similar tools.- Proven experience in Linux administration and supporting scientific computing software.
