Position : Android Automotive OS DeveloperExperience : 7+ years (Relevant experience : 6 years minimum)Location : Bangalore - Work From Office mandatoryEmployment type : Permanent role with an Automotive Engineering Service CompanyJob Description :The Android Automotive OS Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining Android-based infotainment systems for vehicles. This role requires extensive experience in the automotive domain, particularly in working with vehicle signals, communication protocols, and Google Automotive Services (GAS). The developer will primarily focus on Android Automotive Operating System (AAOS) and integrating it with GAS to deliver seamless in-car experiences.Key Responsibilities :- Hands-on experience in the automotive domain, with a focus on developing infotainment systems for vehicles.- Proficiency in vehicle signals and communication protocol knowledge, including CAN (Controller Area Network) and other relevant protocols.- Working knowledge of Google Automotive Services (GAS), including Google Maps, Play Store, Assistant, and other services.- Expertise in Android Automotive Operating System (AAOS), which is an Android-based infotainment system integrated directly into the vehicle.- Development of applications on AAOS for in-car infotainment purposes, as well as integration with GAS to provide enhanced services to users.- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality of AAOS and GAS within the vehicle environment.- Keeping abreast of the latest developments in automotive technology, Android OS, and Google services to continuously improve the infotainment system offerings.Qualifications :- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.- Minimum of 7 years of experience in software development, with at least 6 years of relevant experience in the automotive domain.- Proficiency in Android development, including Java or Kotlin programming languages.- Experience with vehicle signals and communication protocols such as CAN, LIN (Local Interconnect Network), Ethernet, etc.- Familiarity with Google Automotive Services (GAS) and its integration with Android Automotive OS.- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
