Job Title : Data Security Specialist- .Experience Required : - 4+ years of experience in Data Security.Job Description : We are seeking a skilled Data Security Specialist with expertise in implementing and maintaining data security solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Varonis, Microsoft Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Insider Risk Management, Data Classification, and Retention Labeling. As a Data Security Specialist, you will play a critical role in safeguarding sensitive data and mitigating risks across both on-premises and cloud environments.Key Responsibilities : - Implement and manage Varonis solutions for data governance, access control, and auditing in both on-premises and cloud environments.- Configure and administer Microsoft Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies to prevent unauthorized disclosure of sensitive information.- Utilize Microsoft Insider Risk Management tools to identify and mitigate insider threats and suspicious activities.- Implement data classification policies and labels using Microsoft Data Classification capabilities to ensure proper handling and protection of sensitive data.- Define and enforce data retention policies using Microsoft Retention Labeling to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.- Monitor and analyze data security incidents, investigate security breaches, and take appropriate remediation actions.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, Legal, Compliance, and Business Units, to develop and enforce data security policies and procedures.- Stay informed about emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices in data security, and recommend enhancements to security controls and procedures.Required Skills and Qualifications :- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.- 4+ years of experience in Data Security, with a focus on Varonis and Microsoft security solutions.- Proficiency in deploying and managing Varonis solutions in both on-premises and cloud environments.- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Insider Risk Management, Data Classification, and Retention Labeling.- Strong understanding of data security principles, standards, and best practices.- Experience with data governance, access control, and auditing mechanisms.- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.- Relevant certifications such as Varonis Certified Administrator (VCA), Microsoft Certified : Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals, or similar certifications are a plus..Preferred Qualifications : - Experience working in regulated industries such as healthcare, finance, or government, with knowledge of industry-specific compliance requirements (e.g. HIPAA, GDPR, PCI DSS).- Familiarity with other data security technologies and tools, such as Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions from other vendors.- Experience with cloud security concepts and technologies (e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP).- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell) for automation and customization of security solutions.If you meet the above qualifications and are passionate about protecting data assets and mitigating security risks, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity as a Data Security Specialist.Loc : Bengaluru, Karnataka, India (ref:hirist.tech)
