Description:
Position Overview:We are looking for a skilled Cypress Web QA Engineer with 3 to 5 years of experience to play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our web applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Cypress automation framework and a strong understanding of web technologies. As a Cypress Web QA Engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute test plans, automate test cases, and identify and report defects.Key Responsibilities:Test Planning and Execution:- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and develop comprehensive test plans.- Execute test cases manually and automate them using Cypress to ensure thorough coverage of functional and non-functional requirements.Test Automation Development:- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress framework.- Implement best practices for test automation, including modularization, parameterization, and data-driven testing.Regression Testing:- Conduct regression testing to ensure that new features and bug fixes do not introduce regressions or impact existing functionality.- Automate regression test suites and integrate them into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.Defect Management:- Identify, document, and track defects using issue tracking systems (e.g., JIRA).- Work closely with developers to reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve defects in a timely manner.Performance and Load Testing:- Collaborate with performance engineers to develop and execute performance and load test scenarios using Cypress and other tools.- Analyze test results and identify performance bottlenecks and areas for optimization.Cross-Browser and Cross-Platform Testing:- Conduct cross-browser and cross-platform testing to ensure compatibility and consistency across different browsers and devices.- Automate cross-browser testing using Cypress or other tools.Reporting and Documentation:- Generate test reports and document test results, including pass/fail status, defects found, and test coverage.- Provide regular updates on testing progress and quality metrics to project stakeholders.Required Skills and Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.- 3 to 5 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on web applications.- Hands-on experience with Cypress automation framework is required.- Strong proficiency in web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and DOM manipulation.- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.- Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.Preferred Skills:- Experience with other test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium WebDriver) is a plus.- Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling) is desirable.- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
