Job Description :- System design from concept to deployment- Understanding of Electronic components, behaviour, characteristics- Electronic design tools for schematics and handover to PCB design- Ablility to read data sheets to understand ICs, understand their timing details, understand their electrical characteristics, understand pin details, understand pin behaviour and their usage in a given circuit- Testing the Embedded systems at various stages like Unit, Integration, System and Acceptance Testing- Trouble shooting of issues and resolution of the same.- Embedded system bring up and porting of BSP, drivers, baremetal code, Linux OS and kernel- Experience in Embedded system Hardware + Firmware Integration- Experience in Hardware + Firmware + Bare metal monitor integration- Experience in Writing and customizing peripheral drivers and BSP code- Building Linux OS and Kernel components for a given embedded system and bootup- Trouble shooting of issues and resolution of the same.Role & Responsibilities :FPGA based Embedded Systems :- Understand and have knowledge of FPGA based systems with and without Physical processors- Experience in Design , Development and Testing of systems with FPGA device having PS and PL- Experience in creation, and Testing of Bare metal code for FPGA based systems- Experience in Creation and Testing of Peta Linux code for FPGA based systems- Knowledge about FPGA IPs available and experience in using them to build FPGA based embedded systems related to image processing, camera acquisition and rendering etc.- Ability to understand the FPGA IP design and its features and how to make use of those features in the system.- Good knowledge and Experience of the writing RTL code in VHDL and Verilog- Good knowledge and Experience of the testing / simulating RTL code for functionality- Experience in Testing the FPGA IPs and design for Timing, Resource usage and performance.- Ability to optimise an given FPGA IP or design for timing, resource usage and performance requirements.AI, Deep Learning, Machine Learning :- Good knowledge and working experience in image processing computer vision artificial intelligence and deep learning on embedded systems and SPGA based systems- Good knowledge and experience in design, developing AI and DL based solutions on embedded systems- Experience in using AI frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Caffe, Keras, etc for building neural nets- Experience in porting Neural nets from TF, PyT, Caffe, Keras to embedded boards like Jetson, Raspberry, Xilinx FPGA boards, Microcontroller boards, etc.Troubleshooting :- Good experience in troubleshooting and debugging embedded systems and devices.- Good knowledge and usage of debugging equipment's such as oscillo scope fpga debugging frameworks like ILA (Chipscope), for trouble shooting hardware related issues- Good experience in the debugging embedded software and resolving conflicts between two modules during integration and system testing- Good understanding of the OS architectures and debugging issues at various levels of the user program, kernel program and the BSP- Good knowledge and understanding of AMD xilinx software tools like Vivado and VITIS for design development testing- Ability to guide team members in resolution of tough situations by giving alternatives to the design to the implementation and solve the issues- Ability to know how to debug both in the hardware and in the software while facing tough situations and the origin of the issue is unknown,Software tools for Hardware design :- Schematic editor, DRC- PCB design, DRC- IDEs for embedded system debuggingSoftware development and debugging tools for C / C++ and Python : - Gcc tools, Pycharm, Eclipse, VS Code- Tools for Linting, Memory leakages and Code coverage- Remote debugging with embedded boards- FPGA tools for design, development and testing from AMD Xilinx, Intel- Timing analysis, Design constraints, Simulation, ILATeam Leadership :- Able to lead, motivate and groom team members- Maintain an approachable attitude and ability to listen- Defuse any tensions between members- Ability to get the team to complete the tasks provided to them on time and with the required qualityProject Management :- General project management capabilites along with team leadership- Project Status monitoring and tracking- Project Status Reports with Challenges, Task status, Risks and Mitigation plan.- Stand up meetings / Agile methodology / Any efficient methodology (ref:hirist.tech)
