Description:

Responsibilities :- Develop and implement efficient Java code to optimize and enhance functionalities within our Trino (or Presto) platform.- Demonstrate excellent understanding of Java programming language and object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.- Possess strong code comprehension skills to effectively read and analyze open-source code like Trino.- Identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to the optimization of existing Trino codebase.- Experience working with Presto is a significant advantage.- Familiarity with big data platforms and frameworks is a plus (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)- Experience with data visualization tools like Elasticsearch and Grafana is beneficial.- Collaborate with engineers and data scientists to understand data processing needs and translate them into technical solutions.- Participate in code reviews, write unit tests, and ensure high-quality code delivery.- Experience working in an Agile development environment is a plus.Qualifications :- 4-6 years of experience as a Java Developer or a similar role.- Excellent coding skills in Java programming language.- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts.- Experience in reading, understanding, and potentially modifying open-source code.- Prior experience working with Trino (or Presto) is highly desirable.- Familiarity with big data platforms and frameworks is a plus.- Knowledge of data visualization tools like Elasticsearch and Grafana is a benefit.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
