Job Description :We are seeking an experienced Configuration Management Specialist with a strong background in IT Service Management and a thorough understanding of Configuration Management Database (CMDB) principles. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in maintaining and enhancing CMDBs, ensuring data accuracy, and supporting ITIL-based processes.Responsibilities :- CMDB Management : Responsible for supporting Configuration Item (CI) types, attributes, and relationships in the CMDB, ensuring accurate tracking and documentation of all CIs.- Process Maintenance : Maintain processes and procedures for creating and maintaining CIs, ensuring compliance with governance standards and process improvement initiatives.- Audits and Compliance : Assist the Configuration Manager with audits and reports to ensure process compliance and the accuracy of the CMDB data.- Continuous Improvement : Execute and continuously improve the IT Configuration Management framework, including governance standards, control measures, and communication strategies.- Data Quality Assurance : Collaborate with CI Data Owners and stakeholders to maintain the quality of CMDB data, ensuring that all CIs are up-to-date and accurately represented.- Non-Discoverable CI Maintenance : Govern and maintain non-discoverable CI attributes, ensuring completeness and accuracy in the CMDB.- Monitoring and Issue Resolution : Monitor CI data health reports and dashboards, proactively identifying and resolving any data quality issues in collaboration with CI Data Owners.- Process Enhancement : Support the design, development, and implementation of process and CMDB enhancements to improve efficiency and effectiveness.- Change Management Support : Provide change management support as needed, including producing weekly CAB agenda reports, forward schedule change reports, and KPI metrics reports.- Coordinate with change owners to ensure adherence to the change management process.- Agile Methodology : Understand Agile principles and methodologies, and actively contribute to Agile-based projects and initiatives.- Certifications : Maintain ITIL V3 foundation certification and stay updated on industry best practices.- Knowledge of Application Performance Management (APM) is a plus.Qualifications :- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.- 6+ years of experience in Configuration Management, IT Service Management, or related roles.- Strong understanding of CMDB, Service Mapping, Discovery, and Service-Now Common Service Data Model (CSDM) principles.- Proficiency in Agile methodologies and frameworks.- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Location : Bangalore (ref:hirist.tech)
