What You'll Do :Embedded Software Development :- Design, develop, and implement embedded software using C programming language.- Write efficient and optimized code, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.- Conduct thorough unit testing to ensure code functionality and reliability.- Integrate software modules with existing systems and collaborate with other engineers.Automotive Domain Expertise :- Possess a strong understanding of automotive systems and Electronic Control Unit (ECU) development principles.- Work closely with automotive engineers to understand system requirements and translate them into effective software solutions.- Be familiar with automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, UDS).Microcontroller Programming :- Develop low-level drivers and firmware for various microcontroller architectures (e.g., Freescale, Infineon, Microchip).- Optimize code for low-power consumption and real-time performance.- Integrate hardware peripherals (e.g., sensors, actuators) with software components.Debugging and Validation :- Utilize debugging tools and techniques to identify and resolve software bugs and errors.- Perform hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulations to validate software functionality.- Collaborate with testing teams to ensure software meets performance and safety requirements.Desired Skills :- A minimum of 4-7 years of experience in embedded software development with a focus on automotive applications.- Strong proficiency in C programming language and embedded systems development principles.- Solid understanding of microcontroller architecture and low-level programming.- Experience with popular automotive microcontrollers (e.g., Freescale, Infineon, Microchip) (a plus, not mandatory).- Prior experience with Vector tools like CANalyzer, CANoe, and CANape (a plus, not mandatory).- Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN, XCP, SPI, LIN, UDS) (a plus, not mandatory).- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a strong focus on code quality and maintainability.- Strong teamwork and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers from diverse disciplines.
