Job Description :Seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Engineer to join our dynamic IT security team. As a DLP Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining effective data protection strategies to safeguard our organization's sensitive information. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in cybersecurity, a deep understanding of data loss prevention technologies, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Responsibilities :1. DLP Solution Implementation : - Deploy, configure, and manage Data Loss Prevention solutions to monitor and protect sensitive data across the organization. - Collaborate with IT and security teams to integrate DLP solutions seamlessly into existing infrastructure.2. Policy Development and Enforcement : - Develop and enforce DLP policies in alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational needs. - Regularly review and update DLP policies to address emerging threats and vulnerabilities.3. Incident Response and Investigation : - Monitor and analyze security alerts related to data exfiltration or policy violations. - Lead incident response efforts to investigate and mitigate DLP incidents, providing detailed reports and recommendations.4. Risk Assessment and Compliance : - Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential areas of data loss and recommend remediation strategies. - Ensure compliance with relevant data protection laws, industry regulations, and internal policies.5. Collaboration and Training : - Work closely with other IT and business units to raise awareness of data protection best practices. - Provide training and guidance to end-users and stakeholders on DLP policies and procedures.6. Technology Evaluation : - Stay informed about the latest advancements in DLP technologies and evaluate their suitability for the organization. - Make recommendations for enhancements and improvements to the DLP infrastructure.Qualifications :- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.- Proven experience as a DLP Engineer or in a similar cybersecurity role.- Strong knowledge of DLP technologies, protocols, and methodologies.- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS) and data protection standards.- Experience with security incident response and investigation.- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Preferred Skills :- Certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).- Hands-on experience with Microsoft DLP required.
