We're looking for a talented and passionate BigCommerce Developer to join our growing team. As a key member, you'll play a vital role in crafting exceptional online stores for our clients using the BigCommerce platform. You'll collaborate closely with designers, QA testers, project managers, and other developers to transform design concepts into robust and user-friendly e-commerce experiences.Responsibilities :- Design and develop custom BigCommerce Stencil themes and applications to meet client-specific needs.- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to bring their creative visions to life on the BigCommerce platform.- Partner with front-end developers to seamlessly integrate UI elements and functionalities into BigCommerce stores.- Work alongside project managers, technical leads, and clients to define website architecture and functionalities.- Develop innovative solutions using BigCommerce APIs and integrations to enhance user experience and achieve business goals.- Customize existing BigCommerce themes, extending their capabilities to fulfill unique client requirements.- Maintain custom scripts and applications using JavaScript frameworks like jQuery to address specific functionalities.- Design and develop reusable custom widgets for functionalities that can be applied for various scenarios on the same site.- Integrate third-party APIs and services to expand store functionalities and user experience.- Conduct thorough research to identify and implement solutions for complex client needs.- Collaborate effectively with BigCommerce support to troubleshoot and resolve platform-related issues.- Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues to ensure optimal website performance and reliability.- Optimize website speed and performance through code optimization and server-side configurations.- Stay current on the latest trends and innovations in e-commerce development and BigCommerce platform advancements.- Continuously explore and leverage AI tools to enhance coding practices and develop superior solutions.Desired Skills :- Minimum 4 years of experience in BigCommerce website development.- Proven experience as a backend developer with a strong focus on e-commerce platforms, particularly BigCommerce.- Experience of WordPress, Shopify or PHP is desirable.- Proficiency in JavaScript frameworks like jQuery and related libraries.- In-depth knowledge of BigCommerce themes, templates, and the Stencil framework (a plus).- Solid understanding of Handlebars.js templating language.- Experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, and third-party integrations.- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).- Excellent problem-solving skills and a meticulous attention to detail.- Strong communication and teamwork skills.- Knowledge of data migration from another platform to BigCommerce is a plus.- 5 days working- Work from office only (ref:hirist.tech)
