Key Responsibilities :As An AVD Engineer In EUCS, You Will :- Build, and maintain the AVD infrastructure to ensure high availability and scalability.- Understand the architecture and components of AVD, such as host pools, session hosts, app groups, workspaces, and user profiles.- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to optimize performance, reliability, and security.- Manage and troubleshoot AVD resources using the Azure portal, PowerShell, and Azure CLI.- Configure and secure AVD networking, such as virtual networks, subnets, network security groups, and firewalls.- Implement and optimize AVD storage, such as Azure Files, Azure NetApp Files, and FSLogix.- Monitor and optimize AVD performance, such as scaling, load balancing, and diagnostics.- Integrate AVD with other Azure services, such as Azure Active Directory, Azure Backup, Azure Monitor.- Apply best practices and recommendations for AVD deployment and management.Troubleshoot user/Pool issues including :- Assist with client installs (RDP client)- Client connection issues- Application troubleshooting (as it pertains to AVD)- Performance monitoring and issues- AVD Pool maintenance- Software installs and configuration into AVD pools based on Pearson standards- Build and configure AVD host pools based on Pearson standard buildsSkills :- Experience with VDI technologies such as AVD including image management, deployment, monitoring and maintenance.- Experience with modern device deployment techniques.- Experience working in a mixed skillset team in an agile, fast-paced, working environment.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a systematic approach to problem solving.- Good understanding of the Microsoft Azure platform and experience of Azure Virtual Desktop deployment and management.- Open to learn new technologies, new ways of working and new processes whilst maintaining high standards of technical expertise.- Having experience in Nerdio, Microsoft Intune, Powershell, and AZ140 Certification is an added advantage.Note :- 3+ years of experience in relevant technology (AVD)- Decent knowledge and understanding of Cloud Concepts- Decent knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Azure ecosystem- Strong knowledge and understanding of Azure Virtual Desktop Solution- AVD Business requirements gathering- AVD Deployment.We are looking for hard working VDI Professionals with experience in AVD, with the ability to think on their feet, ask questions, bring multiple departments together to solve issues and learn new technologies within a fast-paced collaborative environment.We are looking for candidates who are willing to work in a 24-7 operations model ( Shift rotations) and willing to work in the US hours ( India Night time) (ref:hirist.tech)
