Job Title : Site Reliability EngineerJob Summary : As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) specializing in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining highly scalable and reliable systems. You will collaborate with development teams to ensure that applications are designed with reliability and performance in mind. Your primary focus will be on automation, monitoring, incident response, and capacity planning to achieve high availability and optimal performance on GCP.Responsibilities :System Architecture and Design :- Work closely with development teams to design scalable, reliable, and highly available systems on GCP.- Provide expertise in optimizing architecture and infrastructure for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.Automation and Infrastructure as Code : - Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools for provisioning, configuration, and deployment on GCP.- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to ensure reproducibility and scalability of infrastructure components.Monitoring and Incident Response :- Implement robust monitoring solutions to detect and respond to incidents proactively.- Participate in on-call rotations to respond to and resolve system outages or performance issues promptly.Performance Optimization :- Identify and address bottlenecks and performance issues in collaboration with development teams.- Conduct regular performance reviews and capacity planning to ensure optimal system performance.Reliability Engineering :- Implement reliability best practices, including fault tolerance, disaster recovery, and chaos engineering.- Perform root cause analysis of incidents and implement preventive measures.Security and Compliance :- Work with security teams to implement and maintain security best practices on GCP.- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.Documentation and Knowledge Sharing :- Document system architecture, configurations, and procedures.- Share knowledge with other team members through training sessions and documentation.
