About the Role :We are seeking a highly skilled SAP ABAP Development Lead to join our growing team and play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and deploying innovative solutions. You will leverage your deep technical expertise to lead a team of developers, mentor junior engineers, and ensure the successful delivery of complex projects.Responsibilities :- Lead and mentor a team of ABAP developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.- Analyze user requirements and translate them into clear and actionable technical specifications.- Design, develop, and implement complex ABAP solutions utilizing HANA, UI5, and other advanced technologies.- Develop and maintain robust OData services and RESTful APIs to integrate with external systems.- Configure and manage SAP gateway integrations for seamless data exchange.- Possess strong solutioning skills, effectively organizing requirements, designing, building, and deploying scalable APIs.- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in ABAP development, HANA, and SAP Cloud Platform (BTP/SCP).- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, helping them develop their skills and leadership abilities.- Document code clearly and concisely for maintainability.- Conduct unit testing and participate in integration testing to ensure code quality.- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.Qualifications :- Proven experience as an SAP ABAP developer (minimum 5+ years).- In-depth knowledge of SAP ABAP programming language, core functionalities, and best practices.- Strong expertise in HANA database and UI5 development framework.- Experience with CDS views and AMDP code pushdown techniques.- Proven track record of building and exposing OData services and RESTful APIs within SAP.- Experience with SAP Gateway integration or consuming APIs from SAP (cl_http_client).- Preferred experience with SAP BTP (SAP Cloud Platform) or SCP administration and development.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Ability to lead and mentor junior developers.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Passion for innovation and continuous learning.
