About the Role :We are seeking a driven and analytical Cybersecurity Specialist to join our growing team and play a vital role in protecting our organization's digital assets. You will work collaboratively with IT security professionals and other departments to identify vulnerabilities, implement security controls, and ensure our systems remain secure from cyberattacks.Responsibilities :- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security weaknesses in our systems and networks.- Analyze security logs and network traffic to detect suspicious activity and potential breaches.- Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and data encryption solutions.- Develop and document security policies and procedures to create a strong security posture.- Stay up-to-date on the latest cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities.- Participate in incident response activities to contain and remediate security breaches.- Educate and train employees on cybersecurity best practices, such as phishing awareness and password hygiene.- Monitor and report on security risks and compliance requirements.Qualifications :- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).- 2-4 years of experience in a cybersecurity role or related field.- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, methodologies, and best practices.- Working knowledge of common network security tools and technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs).- Experience with vulnerability scanning and penetration testing tools (a plus).- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data security.- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Benefits :- Competitive salary and benefits package.- Opportunity to play a vital role in protecting our organization's critical infrastructure.- Work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.- Continuous learning and development opportunities.
