Position Summary :We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network and Security Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network infrastructure and security, particularly with deploying and managing on-premises network security solutions. This role is crucial in ensuring the security, reliability, and efficiency of our network systems.Key Responsibilities :Network Infrastructure Management :- Design, implement, and maintain robust network infrastructure.- Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and other network devices.- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance.Security Infrastructure Deployment :- Deploy and manage on-premises security solutions including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and network access control (NAC) systems.- Implement and manage endpoint security solutions, antivirus programs, and encryption protocols.- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security risks.Network Security Monitoring and Response :- Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and potential threats.- Respond to security incidents, conduct investigations, and implement corrective measures.- Maintain and update security policies, procedures, and guidelines.Compliance and Risk Management :- Ensure network and security practices comply with relevant laws, regulations, and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).- Perform risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate identified risks.- Prepare and maintain documentation for security policies, network diagrams, and incident reports.Collaboration and Training :- Work closely with IT and other departments to ensure cohesive security strategies.- Provide training and support to staff on security best practices and awareness.- Stay updated on the latest security trends, threats, and technologies.Experience :- Minimum of 12 years of experience in network and security roles.- Proven experience with on-premises network security infrastructure deployment and management.Technical Skills :- Proficient in configuring and managing Cisco, Juniper, or similar network devices.- Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, and switching.- Expertise in firewall configuration, VPN setup, and network security monitoring tools.- Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) solutions.
