Description:
Role Description :As an L2 Network Security professional, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of the organization's network infrastructure. This role is full-time and on-site, based in Gurugram. Your day-to-day tasks will include network administration, troubleshooting, network security implementation and maintenance, network design, and general networking duties.Key Responsibilities:- Network Administration: Manage and maintain the organization's network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking devices.- Ensure network availability, reliability, and performance.- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve network issues in a timely manner, utilizing diagnostic tools and techniques to troubleshoot connectivity, performance, and security-related issues.- Network Security: Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against unauthorized access, malware, and other security threats.- This includes configuring firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPNs, and other security appliances.- Network Design: Assist in the design and implementation of network architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and performance requirements are met.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and services into the network infrastructure.- Networking: Configure and manage network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols.- Monitor network traffic and performance to identify potential security vulnerabilities and optimize network performance.Qualifications:- Network Administration Skills: Proficiency in network administration tasks, including configuring and managing network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.- Troubleshooting: Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze and resolve network issues efficiently.- Network Security Expertise: Experience in implementing and maintaining network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs.- Network Design: Understanding of network design principles and best practices, with the ability to contribute to the design and implementation of network architecture.- Network Protocols: Strong knowledge of network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols.- Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly identify and address network-related issues.- Communication Skills: Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.Preferred Qualifications:- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CISSP are preferred and demonstrate a strong foundation in network security and administration.- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred, although relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
