About the Role:- We are seeking a meticulous and results-oriented Database Administrator (DBA) to join our IT team.- You will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance, security, and availability of our organizational databases.- You will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and backup of our database systems, ensuring they meet the needs of our users and applications.Responsibilities:- Design, install, configure, and maintain database systems (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle) to support business applications.- Perform database performance optimization to ensure efficient data access and retrieval.- Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive data from unauthorized access.- Develop and maintain comprehensive backup and recovery plans to minimize data loss and downtime.- Monitor database health and performance, identifying and resolving potential issues proactively.- Perform regular database administration tasks, including user management, schema maintenance, and data integrity checks.- Automate database administration tasks using scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python) whenever possible.- Collaborate with developers and other IT professionals to ensure database systems meet application requirements.- Stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies and best practices.- Document database configurations, procedures, and processes for future reference.Qualifications:- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in database administration.- Strong understanding of relational database concepts (normalization, data integrity, etc.).- Proficiency in SQL and experience with database administration tools for your preferred platform (e.g., MySQL Workbench, SQL Server Management Studio).- Experience with database backup and recovery procedures.- Working knowledge of database security best practices.- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Location: Hyderabad (ref:hirist.tech)
