Role Description :- This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Linux Administrator located in Mumbai.- The Senior Linux Administrator will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day tasks related to Linux system administration, system troubleshooting, technical support, and patch management.- They will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure and providing efficient support to our clients.Key Responsibilities:Linux System Administration: Manage and maintain Linux-based servers and systems, including installation, configuration, monitoring, and performance tuning.System Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve system issues and errors through troubleshooting and diagnosis, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to operations.Technical Support: Provide technical support to end-users and clients, addressing inquiries, resolving technical issues, and offering guidance on system usage and best practices.Patch Management: Plan and execute patch management activities, including the testing, deployment, and validation of patches and updates for Linux systems and applications.Infrastructure Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as system backups, system upgrades, and security enhancements to maintain the integrity and security of the IT infrastructure.Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for reference and knowledge sharing.Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams and departments to ensure alignment of system administration activities with business objectives and requirements.Qualifications:- 8+ years of experience in Linux system administration roles, with a strong proficiency in managing Linux-based servers and systems.- Demonstrated expertise in system administration tasks such as installation, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Linux environments.- Strong knowledge of patch management principles and practices, including the testing and deployment of patches and updates.- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to system monitoring and maintenance.- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve common goals.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to diverse audiences.- Relevant certifications such as Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or equivalent certifications in Linux system administration.- Prior experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus.- Mumbai (ref:hirist.tech)
