As a GCP (Google Cloud Platform) DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform. You will work closely with development teams, system administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our cloud-based systems.Key Responsibilities :- Cloud Infrastructure Management : Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including compute, storage, networking, and security services.- Automation : Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Deployment Manager, or Google Cloud Deployment Manager to automate provisioning and configuration tasks.- Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD) : Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Google Cloud Build to automate software delivery and deployment processes.- Containerization: Containerize applications using Docker and manage container orchestration using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) or other container orchestration platforms.- Monitoring and Logging : Set up monitoring and logging solutions using Google Cloud Monitoring, Google Cloud Logging, or Stackdriver to track system performance, health, and security.- Security : Implement security best practices and policies to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our cloud infrastructure. Configure IAM roles, network security, and encryption mechanisms.- Cost Optimization : Optimize cloud costs by analyzing usage patterns, rightsizing resources, and implementing cost management strategies.- Troubleshooting : Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues, including performance bottlenecks, connectivity problems, and security incidents.- Documentation : Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure configurations, deployment processes, and troubleshooting procedures.- Collaboration : Work closely with development teams to understand their infrastructure requirements and provide guidance on best practices for cloud-based deployments.- Training and Mentorship : Provide training and mentorship to junior team members to enhance their skills and capabilities in cloud technologies.Qualifications :- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.- Experience: 4 to 8 years of experience in DevOps or cloud infrastructure roles, with a focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).Technical Skills :- Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM, and others.- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Deployment Manager, or Google Cloud Deployment Manager.- Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Shell, or PowerShell.- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Google Cloud Build.- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Google Cloud Monitoring, Google Cloud Logging, or Stackdriver.- Understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and best practices for cloud environments.Soft Skills :- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
