Job Overview Branch launched its lending business in India in early 2019 and has seen rapid adoption and growth. We want to launch a new loan product for MSMEs. Product Manager of this MSME lending team is a unique opportunity to build from scratch and serve a segment underserved by even the most aggressive Fintechs. Roles & Responsibilities Help shape the strategy, roadmap, and execution of our MSME lending product. Lead cross-functional engineering projects to build and launch our new product, find product market fit, and grow the product. Discover deep customer insights to identify, evaluate, scope, and launch compelling new features to find product market fit. Lead the entire lifecycle of product development around this new product. This encompasses everything from researching, shaping the strategy, prioritizing the right MVP scope, creating detailed specs, to managing the execution and timeline of releases. Draw insights from experiments, data exploration, user feedback, and market research to inform project prioritization and feature design. Work closely with external partners and internal stakeholders such as design, research, engineering, marketing, analytics, and operations teams to define projects, triage bugs, update progress across the company, and set quarterly strategies and milestones. Set ambitious goals for yourself and the team. Manage team workflow to ship deliverables on time. Requirements You have 3 to 5 years of experience in Product Management with a demonstrated ability to lead technical teams. Alternatively, we will also consider applications from analysts, engineers, and other PM-adjacent professionals looking to make the transition to Product Management. You have experience with financial services or lending business. Prior experience with the MSME customer segment is a plus. You have a knack for discovering deep customer insights, coming up with great hypotheses, and validating creatively and quickly to craft a differentiated product offering. You are passionate about solving for Bharat, India’s next billion users, a customer segment underserved by even the most aggressive consumer internet companies. Top-notch analytical abilities including familiarity with SQL is a must to succeed in this role. You measure initiatives quantitatively and efficiently, and you draw actionable insights to guide decisions. You know that startups are a team sport. Your effective communication and powerful collaboration are critical to succeed at Branch because of our globally distributed teams. You listen to others, speak your mind, and ask the right questions. You are a great collaborator and teacher. Effective written communication skills are especially important. You are resourceful.
