If you have a strong background in software architecture, design patterns, and a passion for technology, we would love to hear from you.Position Summary :As an Engineering Manager - Backend, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of our backend systems. You will lead a team of talented engineers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions. Your expertise in monolithic and microservices architecture, design patterns, SOLID principles, and AWS will be crucial in guiding the team to success.Key Responsibilities :- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of backend engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.- Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of backend systems, ensuring they meet high standards of performance, reliability, and scalability.- Implement and enforce best practices in software design, architecture, and coding standards, including SOLID principles and OOPs.- Drive the adoption of microservices architecture where appropriate, ensuring seamless integration with existing monolithic systems.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, product managers, and DevOps, to deliver comprehensive solutions.- Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and guide team members in their technical growth.- Manage the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to implementation, testing, and deployment.- Optimize and maintain database systems, ensuring data integrity, security, and performance.- Utilize AWS services to architect and deploy scalable and resilient backend solutions.- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends, and advocate for their adoption where beneficial.Qualifications :- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.- 8-10 years of hands-on experience in backend development, with a strong focus on Node.js.- Proven experience with both monolithic and microservices architecture.- Deep understanding of design patterns and SOLID principles.- Proficiency in object-oriented programming (OOP) and software development best practices.- Strong experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL), data modeling, and performance optimization.- Extensive knowledge of AWS services and cloud architecture.- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound technical decisions.- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of mentoring and developing engineering talent.- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Preferred Qualifications :- Experience with other backend technologies and programming languages.- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.- Experience in a fast-paced, agile development environment.What We Offer :- Competitive salary and benefits package.- Opportunities for professional growth and development.- A collaborative and inclusive work environment.- Cutting-edge technology and tools to support your success.- Flexible working arrangements.
