Description:
We are looking to add an energetic and self-motivated Senior Cloud Database Engineer to our high-performing global team of Database Engineering ExpertsThis role involves architecting, implementing and supporting technological solutions with Oracle 19c on the Cloud platform for revenue-generating applications that drive the TR business. The candidate should have strong technical, excellent communication and collaboration, as well as time and project management skills.Responsibilities :- Working knowledge of Oracle 19c Autonomous Database on Cloud.- Database provisioning automation on Oracle Cloud.- Develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies to ensure the functionality and performance of Oracle databases on Oracle Cloud.- Develop and test HA and DR patterns in collaboration with Oracle to meet business availability needs.- Maintain Oracle database parameter standards on the Cloud.- Develop a standard backup policy to meet RTO and RPO.- Implement and maintain database security measures, including access controls, separation of duties and encryption, to protect sensitive data.- Establish proactive monitoring and alerting systems to identify and address issues in real time.- Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation of database configurations, procedures, and best practices.- Experience in migrating databases from legacy infrastructure to Oracle Cloud.- Database Infra Automation using IAC and Python.- Effective communication skills at all levels both spoken and written.- Translate highly technical solutions/problems into clear language useful to audiences at varying technical levels.- Prepare high-quality technical and non-technical documentation, and present it clearly to interested parties.- Communicate professionally when interacting across staff levels and internal/external customers.- Coach and mentor new joiners and junior database engineers - help them solve technical problems, and drive their learning path.- Work collaboratively and effectively with Business, Engineering/Support teams, Vendors- Be a role model to the rest of the members within and outside the team in technical, personal, behavioural and corporate citizenship.- Participate and contribute to technology events/forums like Technify, Unconference, team meetings etc.- Map business requirements to technical solutions.- Proactively generate relevant ideas for new and improved operations or use of technology.- Understand the impact of new projects and technical impacts on supported systems.- Collaborate with peers, team leads and managers to deliver a reliable and efficient database service.Requirements :- Bachelor's Degree - Computer Science, technical or engineering degree preferred.- 6-8 years experience including providing support for mission-critical production databases, developing database Engineering Services for Oracle 19c Autonomous Database.- Prior working experience using agile development framework and best practices.- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines independently toward assigned goals with minimum supervision.- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.- Ability to make presentations to professional peers and work closely with management.- Display the ability to learn rapidly and adapt quickly to changing situations.- Be a role model to the rest of the members within and outside the team in technical, personal, behavioural and corporate citizenship.
