We are looking for a dedicated Windows EOL Remediation Expert for an MNC. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing and remediating End-of-Life Windows operating systems, ensuring the smooth transition to supported versions and minimizing security risks.Experience : 4.8 8 Yrs. Location : Chennai, Hyderabad, Indore, Pune. Key Responsibilities : Windows Server Administration :- In-depth knowledge of Windows Server features, roles, and functionalities.- Understanding of Active Directory and Group Policy.- Familiarity with various Windows Server editions and licensing requirements.Security Best Practices :- Strong grasp of security principles like least privilege and defense in depth.- Ability to configure Group Policy Objects (GPOs) for security settings.Hardening Techniques :- Expertise in hardening services like RDP, file sharing, and network services.- Knowledge of user account management and strong authentication methods.Scripting and Automation :- Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell.- Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).- Windows Command Line Interface:.- Skilled in using command-line tools like wmic, gpresult, and regedit.Role Description : - Understand Microsoft's EOL dates and implications for Windows Server and Active Directory.- Compile a list of Windows Servers and Active Directory configurations.- Assess system dependencies and compatibility issues.- Evaluate system criticality based on business functions.- Plan and execute upgrades to newer Windows Server versions.- Automate tasks with scripting.- Test and document hardening measures and the EOL process.Location- Chennai, Hyderabad, Indore, Pune (ref:hirist.tech)
