As a JIRA Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining JIRA instances to meet the complex needs of our organization. You will lead the strategy, configuration, and customization of JIRA to support agile project management practices across multiple teams. Your expertise in JIRA administration and architecture will be critical in ensuring the efficient use of the platform to drive business objectives.Key Responsibilities :JIRA Architecture and Strategy :- Design and implement scalable JIRA architecture to support various project management needs.- Develop and execute a strategic plan for JIRA usage across the organization.- Ensure JIRA configurations align with best practices and organizational standards.Configuration and Customization :- Configure JIRA workflows, schemes, and permissions to meet business requirements.- Customize JIRA using scripts and add-ons to extend functionality and enhance user experience.- Implement and maintain integrations between JIRA and other tools such as Confluence, Bitbucket, and third-party applications.Administration and Maintenance :- Perform regular maintenance tasks, including backups, upgrades, and performance tuning.- Monitor JIRA instances for performance issues and resolve them proactively.- Manage user access, roles, and permissions to ensure data security and compliance.Collaboration and Support :- Work closely with project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and provide JIRA solutions.- Provide expert guidance and support to users, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.- Conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance user proficiency in JIRA.- Process Improvement and Best Practices:- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within JIRA.- Implement best practices for JIRA usage and promote standardization across teams.- Stay updated with the latest JIRA features and advancements to continuously improve the platform.Documentation and Reporting :- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for JIRA configurations, processes, and procedures.- Create and manage custom dashboards and reports to provide insights into project metrics and performance.- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of JIRA-related metrics to stakeholders.Required Qualifications :- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.- 10 to 14 years of experience in IT, with a focus on JIRA administration and architecture.- Extensive experience in configuring and customizing JIRA, including workflows, schemes, and permissions.- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Groovy, Python) for JIRA customization.- Strong knowledge of JIRA add-ons and plugins such as ScriptRunner, Structure, and Tempo.- Experience with JIRA integrations with other tools (e.g., Confluence, Bitbucket).- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.- Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with the capability to work effectively with diverse teams.Preferred Qualifications :- Certification in JIRA Administration or Agile methodologies.- Experience with agile project management practices and tools.- Familiarity with other Atlassian products and their integrations.- Knowledge of cloud-based JIRA deployments and administration.
