Overview : The IT Support Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining network storage solutions using Synology NAS products, managing servers, and administering Linux-based systems to ensuresystem efficiency, reliability, and security.Key Responsibilities :1. Synology NAS Management :- Install, configure, and maintain Synology NAS hardware and DiskStation Manager (DSM) software.- Perform regular backups, ensure data redundancy, and restore data as needed.- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Synology NAS systems.- Monitor and update Synology NAS systems to ensure data protection.2. Server Administration :- Set up, maintain, and administer physical and virtual servers.- Perform system updates and server migrations.- Monitor server performance and optimize resources.- Provide support for server-related problems.3. Linux System Administration :- Install, configure, and maintain various Linux distributions on servers and desktop environments.- Manage user accounts and permissions.- Script automation tasks to streamline administrative processes.- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on Linux platforms.4. Documentation and Reporting :- Maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, processes, and service records.- Prepare reports on incidents, infrastructure status, and system upgrades.- Develop best practices and system maintenance guidelines.Qualifications :- Proven experience with Synology NAS, server management, and Linux administration.- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to provide hands-on support.- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Linux+, etc.) are preferred.
