Will be responsible for building and maintaining the BI applications, schema objects & building reports/dashboards to serve business needs. The Data Analyst,2 will work with data warehouse engineers to help design reporting capabilities in the BI application. The role will also work on administration activities to run the health and performance of the application and migrate and setup environment for use.Primary responsibilities :1. Build schema and application objects such as attributes, metrics, and hierarchies. 2. Meet with decision makers, data owners, and end users to define reporting requirements and goals develop reporting procedures, models, and protocols. 3. Interview various non-technical managers to understand complex, multifaceted business rules/process and then build detailed, specific and comprehensive documentation. 4. Engage Business Users spanning multiple business units and ensure cohesive articulation of business goals and processes. 5. Assess feasibility of requests, estimate development effort, and impact on existing environment. 6. Help users with building and running reports and dashboards. Required Skills for External Applicants :Mandatory Skills :1. Proficiency in building schema and application objects 2. Proficiency in web dashboard development 3. Proficiency in report/cube construction 4. Proficiency in security architecture 5. Proficiency in multiple connectors for BI application for data federation 6. Ability to migrate between environments 7. Proficiency in administration activities such as setup, upgrades, schema subscription, cache cleanup etc.8. Ability to identify and manage impact on BI application 9. Proficiency in SQL and query engine of BI application 10. Knowledge of BI application architecture (web, office, schedulers, load balancers, i-servers)Good to Have : 1. Business Intelligence tools such as MicroStrategy cloud or Looker and schema design suited to these tools2. Star/Snowflake schema data analysis, modeling, and architectureWhat will you learn on this job?- Build technical and functional specification documents. - Develop, test, and implement interactive web dashboards ad hoc queries, KPIs, Scorecards, reports, and notifications independently or as a part of a team to influence business outcomes. - Monitor and manage health of BI application. - Ability to create training material and train BI users.
