Key Responsibilities : Protocol Development and Debugging : - Develop and debug L2/L3 network protocols, including full or partial protocol implementation and bug fixes. - Ensure the robustness and efficiency of protocol implementations. Technical Leadership : - Lead a team of developers in designing and implementing network protocol solutions. - Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers. Operating System Expertise : - Work with various CISCO operating systems, including IOS, IOS-XE, and NX-OS. - Ensure compatibility and optimal performance within these environments. Multi-Threading and Socket Programming : - Develop and optimize multi-threaded applications. - Implement and maintain socket programming solutions for network communication. Software Architecture : - Design and develop software architecture for L2/L3 components. - Ensure modularity, scalability, and maintainability of the software solutions. Data Structures : - Utilize and optimize data structures for efficient protocol processing and performance. Additional Expertise (Nice to Have) : - Experience with SONIC NOS. Knowledge of programmable packet pipelines. (ref:hirist.tech)
