Description:
About the Role : We are looking for a passionate and experienced SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) to join our team and play a key role in ensuring the quality of our software products. As an SDET, you will be responsible for the entire testing lifecycle, from planning and manual testing to automation and acting as the gatekeeper for code quality. You will also be leading the team as the Scrum Master, facilitating agile ceremonies and ensuring smooth project delivery.Responsibilities : - Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and develop comprehensive test plans and test scenarios.- Manually execute test cases and validate all functionalities against requirements.- Identify and report bugs and defects in a clear and concise manner.- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python frameworks (e.g. pytest, unittest) to improve test coverage and efficiency.- Automate API testing using tools like Postman and relevant Python frameworks.- Act as the gatekeeper for code quality by reviewing code changes and ensuring they meet testing standards.- Lead the development team as the Scrum Master, facilitating daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning sessions, and sprint reviews.- Manage the test automation framework and ensure its continuous improvement.- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in software testing methodologies and tools.Requirements : - Strong experience in manual software testing methodologies.- 3+ years of experience in automating software testing using Python.- In-depth knowledge of Python programming language and its testing frameworks.- Hands-on experience with Selenium, WebDriver.io, and API testing tools like Postman.- Proven ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient test automation scripts.- Experience leading and facilitating Scrum ceremonies as a Scrum Master (2+ years preferred).- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks efficiently.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Bonus Points : - Experience with cloud-based testing platforms (e.g. Sauce Labs, BrowserStack).- Experience with BDD (Behavior Driven Development) frameworks like Behave.- Experience with performance testing tools.- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
