About the Role :We are seeking a passionate and experienced QE Lead to champion our Quality Engineering (QE) efforts and elevate our software development process. As the QE Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of testers, defining the overall testing strategy, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. You will be a technical leader with a deep understanding of software testing methodologies, automation frameworks, and best practices.Responsibilities :- Lead and manage a team of QE professionals, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.- Define the overall Quality Engineering strategy, setting clear goals and objectives for the team.- Develop and implement comprehensive test plans that cover all functionalities and user stories.- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in software testing methodologies and tools.- Select, implement, and maintain appropriate test automation frameworks for UI and API testing. -Drive the adoption of performance and security testing practices within the organization.- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and identify potential risks.- Analyze test results, identify and prioritize bugs, and ensure timely resolution.- Continuously improve the QE processes and tools to optimize testing efficiency and effectiveness. -Champion a culture of quality within the development team and advocate for the importance of testing.- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment for the QE team.Requirements :- 4-7 years of experience in automation testing using languages like Java, Ruby, Python, or Javascript.- Proven experience leading and managing a QE team.- Strong passion for Quality Assurance and a desire to push the boundaries of software testing.- In-depth knowledge of software testing concepts and methodologies (e.g. black-box testing, white-box testing, exploratory testing).- Understanding of web fundamentals (HTML, CSS, Javascript, basic Server-Side Programming concepts, and Databases).- Strong programming skills in at least one of the following languages: Java, Ruby, Python, or Javascript.- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.- Experience with various test automation approaches and frameworks (e.g. Selenium, Appium, pytest, etc.).- Hands-on experience in automating UI and API testing.- Understanding of performance and security testing principles.- Knowledge of at least one performance testing tool (e.g. JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling).- Familiarity with Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) practices.- Experience with CI tools like Jenkins, Travis CI, or TeamCity (a plus).- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.- Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with all levels of stakeholders.Bonus Points :- Experience with cloud-based testing platforms (e.g. Sauce Labs, BrowserStack).- Experience with BDD (Behavior Driven Development) frameworks (e.g. Cucumber, Behave).- Experience with mobile testing frameworks (e.g. Appium, Robotium).- Experience with API security testing tools (e.g. Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP).- Experience with test management tools (e.g Jira, TestRail).- Leadership experience in Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban).
