Designation : Senior Software Test Engineer Position Overview : The Senior Software Test engineer works with the team to do the test planning, monitoring, test execution and reporting for multiple ongoing projects. You will develop automated test scripts and test cases, configure test setups and execute functional and integrated testing on different software/networking solutions and wireless products.Responsibilities :- Mentor and training other team members and sharing expertise within and across contracts, organizational boundaries.- Work with product and software development teams to define and document product functionality and requirements.- Design test plans and derive test cases from requirements.- Perform functional, integrated, performance, stability, field and system level testing and provide test reports and metrics on regular basis and communicate test results to project team.- Diagnose, debug and perform root-cause analysis of issues and defects.- Implement and execute automation test tools based on python / selenium.- Follow defined process in the development and maintenance of automated test suites, automation infrastructure, framework, and tools.- Analyze test results, troubleshoot, and triage issues with different teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution.Experience/Requirements :- Minimum 5+ years of experience in quality engineering and software/hardware testing.- Experience in testing IoT devices/Data cards/M2M devices and/or hardware.- Must understand QA processes and methodologies in a software development environment.- Experience with a variety of router & switch hardware, network services, network management, and network termination.- Experience testing products running on embedded Linux/RTOS.- Experience testing end-to-end IoT systems or Cloud based solutions for IoT platforms.- Strong knowledge on network protocol stack, L2/L3 switching / IP routing, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN routing, firewall.- Knowledge on routing / networking protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, NAT, DHCP, DNS, MQTT.- Knowledge in Wi-Fi protocols (802.11b/g/n/ac/ax/be) and Wi-Fi testing tools such as IxCharriot, iPerf, Veriwave.- Experience in debugging tools such as QXDM, Wireshark, Omnipeek, TCP dump.- Knowledge in LTE / 5G preferred.- Knowledge and experience on security penetration testing a plus.- Experience with Test management, defect reporting such as AP Test Manger, TestRail, Jira, and Confluence.- Debugging data like logs, Wireshark traces and identifying potential problems.- Detail-oriented and open-minded with a good personality.- Flexible team player, self-reliant and self-starter.- Positive attitude, quick and logical thinker.- Good analytical problem-solving skills.- Attention to detail and solid oral and written communications skills a must.- Must be self-motivated and self-managed with an eye towards continuous process improvement.- Hands-on experience designing and coding automated tests in scripting languages like Python.- Research and develop automation solutions for software applications.- Create test automation frameworks for use by developers and QA professionals.- Troubleshoot automation scripts, framework execution errors and bugs.- Communicate with colleagues to identify areas for automation and optimization.Education :- A bachelor's degree in Computers/Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification is required.
