Job Description :- Conduct comprehensive testing of APIs, ensuring they meet the functional and performance criteria.- Focus on micro-services and distributed systems to ensure seamless integration and communication between services.- Utilize various API testing tools to script and validate API responses, ensuring accuracy and reliability.- Develop, document, and maintain test cases, test scripts, and test plans based on the project requirements.- Work closely with the development team to understand the software system architecture.- Contribute to capacity and load management strategies to ensure the system can handle high traffic and usage scenarios.- Integrate and test various interfaces, ensuring smooth data flow and communication between client-side applications and backend services.- Follow the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) processes meticulously.- Participate in design and code reviews to provide feedback from a testing perspective.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality deliverables and adherence to project timelines.- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in API testing and software architecture.- Propose and implement improvements to the testing process, tools, and methodologies.- Mentor and guide junior testers, sharing knowledge and best practices to elevate the overall testing capability of the team.- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in API testing, particularly in environments with micro-services and distributed systems.- Proficient in understanding and working with software system architecture, including capacity/load management, integration interfaces, and client-side architecture.- Skilled in using API testing tools (such as Postman, SOAPUI, or similar) and scripting for API response validations.- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).- Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with development teams and other stakeholders.- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
