About the Role :We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Backup Administrator to join our IT team. In this full-time, on-site role, you will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity and accessibility of our data by managing and troubleshooting backup solutions. Your strong technical skills and problem-solving abilities will be essential for ensuring efficient and secure data backups and recoveries.Responsibilities :- Implement, configure, and manage backup and recovery software and hardware solutions.- Develop and maintain comprehensive backup procedures to ensure data protection and restore capabilities.- Monitor and maintain backup jobs, identifying and resolving any issues that may arise.- Perform regular testing and validation of backup and recovery processes to ensure functionality.- Provide technical support to users experiencing data recovery needs.- Collaborate with data domain teams to understand data classification and storage requirements.- Analyze backup logs and system metrics to identify potential problems and performance bottlenecks.- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in backup and recovery technologies.- Maintain accurate documentation of backup procedures and configurations.- Contribute to the overall IT infrastructure by supporting related systems and processes (e.g., storage, virtualization).Qualifications :- 5+ years of experience as a Backup Administrator or a similar technical role.- Strong understanding of backup methodologies, best practices, and disaster recovery principles.- Proven experience in implementing, configuring, and managing backup software and hardware.- Working knowledge of data storage technologies (e.g., SAN, NAS) and data domain concepts.- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve backup issues efficiently.- Meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to data integrity and security.- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with a team and interact with users.- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.- Relevant certifications in backup and recovery technologies (e.g., Veeam, Commvault) are a plus.- Experience in IT infrastructure management, particularly storage and virtualization technologies, is a plus.
