Job Title : Project Lead - Automotive Embedded SystemsExperience : 15+ Years (including strong experience as a Lead in Automotive Embedded Systems)Location : Bangalore, Electronic City (Work From Office mandatory)Project Duration : Long-termEmployment Type : Permanent role in an Automotive Engineering Service CompanyJob Description :As a Project Lead specializing in Automotive Embedded Systems, you will be responsible for leading and managing complex projects, working directly with clients, and ensuring successful integration and deployment of automotive systems. This role demands a combination of technical expertise, leadership abilities, and excellent communication skills to drive projects and coordinate with various stakeholders including client teams, third-party vendors, and internal teams.Key Responsibilities :Leadership and Project Management :- Lead and manage automotive embedded systems projects.- Drive technical workshops, discussions, and negotiations to meet program needs.- Coordinate with distributed teams, third-party vendors, and clients.- Ensure adherence to release processes and best practices.Technical Expertise :- Provide technical leadership in the integration of various automotive components.- Oversee the development and deployment of automotive systems, ensuring high quality and performance.- Have a strong understanding of communication protocols such as CAN and LIN.- Apply expertise in Infotainment, Telematics, and various automotive tools and software.Collaboration and Communication :- Work directly with client teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.- Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders to ensure project alignment and progress.- Facilitate meetings and discussions to resolve technical issues and drive project success.Quality Assurance :- Implement and oversee HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) and SIL (Software-in-the-Loop) testing methodologies.- Ensure robust testing and validation of systems to meet automotive standards.- Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating risks.- Vendor and Third-party Management:- Collaborate with third-party vendors to integrate their solutions with the overall system.- Manage relationships and ensure that third-party deliverables meet project requirements.Technical Skills :Automotive Embedded Systems :- Extensive experience in leading automotive embedded systems projects.- Strong technical understanding of system integration and communication protocols (CAN, LIN).- Hands-on experience with HIL and SIL testing methodologies.Infotainment and Telematics :- Working knowledge of automotive infotainment and telematics systems.- Familiarity with automotive tools and software.Project Management Tools :- Proficiency in project management and collaboration tools.- Ability to implement and follow robust release processes and best practices.Soft Skills :Leadership :- Proven ability to lead and manage complex projects.- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.Communication :- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.- Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Collaboration :- Experience working in a distributed teams model.- Ability to work collaboratively with clients, vendors, and internal teams.Negotiation :- Strong negotiation skills to drive technical workshops and discussions.Qualifications :- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.- Minimum of 15 years of experience in automotive embedded systems, with significant experience in a lead role.- Proven track record of working with prominent automotive OEMs and logos.- Certification in project management (PMP) (ref:hirist.tech)
