Job Title : Moodle DeveloperLocation : Mumbai/PuneContract Duration : 6 monthsJob Description :We are seeking two experienced Moodle Developers to join our team in Mumbai or Pune for a 6-month contract. The ideal candidates will possess strong implementation knowledge of Moodle 4.0+ and a proven track record in developing plugins and themes. This role will involve working on various Moodle projects, ensuring the development and maintenance of high-quality, scalable e-learning solutions.Key Responsibilities :Plugin and Theme Development :- Develop, customize, and maintain Moodle plugins and themes to enhance the functionality and user experience.- Ensure plugins and themes are compatible with Moodle 4.0+ and are up-to-date with the latest Moodle releases.Responsive Layouts :- Build and maintain responsive layouts to ensure a seamless user experience across different devices, including desktops, tablets, and mobile phones.Testing and Quality Assurance :- Write and maintain comprehensive test cases to ensure the software is of high quality, bug-free, and performs well under various conditions.- Conduct regular code reviews and testing to identify and fix bugs and performance issues.API Integration :- Integrate third-party APIs (such as SIS Banner, Salesforce) to extend Moodle's capabilities and ensure smooth data exchange between systems.Collaboration :- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including instructional designers, content creators, and IT staff, to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.- Provide technical support and training to internal teams and end-users as needed.Documentation :- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for developed solutions, including user guides, technical specifications, and API documentation.Must-Have Skills :- Strong implementation knowledge of Moodle 4.0+.- Proven track record in developing Moodle plugins and themes.- Expertise in building responsive layouts using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.- Capability in writing and maintaining test cases and conducting quality assurance.Nice-to-Have Skills :- Experience with third-party API integration (e.g., SIS Banner, Salesforce).- Understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and their integration with Moodle.- Familiarity with PHP, MySQL, and other web technologies related to Moodle development.- Knowledge of version control systems like Git.Requirements :Education :- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Experience :- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Moodle development, with a focus on Moodle 4.0+.- Proven experience in plugin and theme development, responsive design, and API integration.Skills :- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Desirable :- Understanding of educational technologies and e-learning standards.- Experience with agile development methodologies.Benefits :- Competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications.- Opportunity to work on innovative e-learning projects.- Flexible working environment with options for remote work.- Initial one-week accommodation and travel arrangements provided for the first five weeks for out-of-station candidates.
