Job Title : shell/Linux scripting. Location : INDIA (OFFSHORE) -Remote Start date - 3rd June. Duration :12+ Contract. Rate : DOE. JOB DESCRIPTION.- Candidate should have at least 4-6 years solid working knowledge experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL7/8) operating systems.- In depth, knowledge of Linux Shell Scripting.- Previous worked experience on migration project is must.- Retail business knowledge as added advantage.- Candidate should have strong analytical skills.- Should have good communication skills.- Should have experience in Agile process.Key Responsibilities : Linux System Management : - Manage and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 7/8) operating systems. - Perform system administration tasks including installation, configuration, and patch management. - Monitor system performance and ensure the stability and security of Linux servers. Shell Scripting : - Develop and maintain Linux shell scripts to automate routine tasks and processes. - Write and optimize complex shell scripts for various system operations. - Troubleshoot and debug shell scripting issues. Migration Projects :- Participate in and contribute to migration projects. - Plan, execute, and document migration processes. - Ensure minimal downtime and data integrity during migrations. Retail Business Knowledge :- Utilize understanding of retail business processes to support and optimize system operations. - Collaborate with retail business stakeholders to identify and implement system improvements. Analytical Skills :- Analyze system performance and identify areas for improvement. - Conduct root cause analysis for system issues and implement corrective actions. - Develop and implement strategies for system optimization. Communication Skills :- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders. - Prepare and present technical documentation and reports. - Provide clear and concise updates on project statuses and system issues. - Agile Process Work within an agile development environment. - Participate in agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Required Skills and Qualifications : Technical Skills : - At least 4-6 years of solid working experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 7/8). - In-depth knowledge of Linux shell scripting. - Previous experience with migration projects is essential. - Understanding of retail business processes is an added advantage. Analytical Skills : - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to perform detailed analysis of system issues and develop effective solutions. Communication Skills : - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively. Additional Skills : - Experience working in an agile process environment. - Familiarity with agile tools and methodologies. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting. Preferred Qualifications : - Experience in the retail industry or knowledge of retail business processes. - Familiarity with additional scripting languages and automation tools. - Certification in Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration or related fields.
