About the Opportunity :We are seeking a motivated L1 NOC Engineer to join our growing team. In this critical role, you will play a key role in monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining our transport network, ensuring the reliable and efficient transmission of data. You will work closely with other NOC engineers and network specialists to identify and resolve network issues promptly.Responsibilities :- Monitor the performance and health of the transport network, including SDH/EoSDH, DWDM technologies.- Analyze network alarms and events to identify potential issues and take corrective actions.- Troubleshoot network problems using established procedures and best practices.- Escalate complex issues to higher levels of support as needed.- Maintain accurate documentation of network events, activities, and resolutions.- Perform basic configuration tasks on transmission equipment from vendors like ECI, Tejas, Ciena, and Huawei (familiarity with these brands is a plus).- Possess a strong understanding of fiber optic principles and their application in network infrastructure.- Contribute to the continuous improvement of network monitoring and management processes.Qualifications :- Bachelor's degree in Science, a 3-year Diploma in Computer Science/Electronics/IT, or a Master's degree in Electronics/IT/Computer Science (or equivalent experience).- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a network operations role, preferably with a focus on transport networks.- In-depth knowledge of transmission technologies like SDH/EoSDH and DWDM.- Solid understanding of industry best practices for Transmission Access, Aggregation, and NLD networks.- Hands-on experience troubleshooting and maintaining transmission equipment (experience with ECI, Tejas, Ciena, Huawei is a plus).- Proficiency in fiber optic technology and principles.- Experience working with event and fault management systems in a NOC environment.- Working knowledge of LAN principles and practices is a plus.- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.- Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork abilities.- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
