We are seeking a talented Splunk Developer to join our security team and play a critical role in building and maintaining our Splunk environment. In this role, you will use your in-depth knowledge of Splunk to ingest, analyze, and extract valuable insights from security logs, ultimately contributing to a more secure and threat-aware environment.Requirements :Experience :- 5-8 years of experience working with Splunk.- Splunk certified professional (preferred).Responsibilities :Log Management :- Proficiently read and analyze various logs, including Windows Event logs, firewall logs, and other security-related sources.- Possess a strong understanding of common log formats and the ability to identify patterns and anomalies.Splunk Expertise :- Utilize your in-depth knowledge of Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL) to write and optimize search queries for efficient log analysis and extraction of actionable insights.- Design and build informative and user-friendly Splunk dashboards to visualize security data for real-time threat detection and monitoring.Alerting and Correlation :- Possess a deep understanding of Splunk alerting functionalities and SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) principles.- Create and fine-tune SIEM alerts to minimize false positives and ensure accuracy, collaborating with security team members for validation.- Develop and implement strategies to streamline the incident response process.Additional Skills :- Strong understanding of security concepts and best practices.- Familiarity with other security tools and technologies (a plus).- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.
